<lj:music>The scientist-coldplay live</lj:music>

Wow, its been a while since I've posted..so I guess its time to recollect the adventures I've been on over the past two weeks. Last week was Spring break for me at school. Weird though because it wasn't even Spring, but anyways. I was home all week working and doing homework...Sounds like fun doesn't it.
3/10: Thursday night I went to a chorus concert at school and saw some old friends..It was nice to see everyone again and to see the high school. It was also sad though because I remembered some of the songs they sang and I just wished I could have been up there again to sing them. I felt almost like an athlete who had broken a part of their body and would never be able to play again...and would have to watch everything from the sidelines from now on...But anyways, after that we (Julie, Matt, Susan, Jen, & I)went down to Geoff's house. We went to the Porn store just for fun..haha and we bought Julie a walking Cooch..after that we went back to Geoffs and hung out.

3/11: Friday we went around to breakfast in town and then headed up to the mall. After hangin there for a while we went back to Geoffs and then headed home. That night everyone who went to Geoffs went out bowling. I haven't bowled in a while but I think I did pretty good. I bowled a 75, 115, & 102. Good Times where had by all.

3/14: Spring break was over so came back to school and saw some friends and everything was fun.

3/15: Went to class as usual. Then I went to SUNY with Julie, Jen, and Matt. There we met up with Marcie and we went to see a women speak about women working at walmart. We only went to a. see marcie and b. because Matt and I needed to critique a professional speaker for English class. Needless to say the speech was not very good. We left early and went to hang with Marcie for while. After that and much persuasion I headed over to Matt's sisters house for some drinking. There was so much liquor there I felt like a kid in a candy store. It was all the good stuff too. Had some fun with that then went back to the dorm and hung out with everyone who was sober here.

3/17: ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!! In high school this would be just an innocent holiday where everyone dresses in green and is Irish for a day. In college everyone goes out to bars shows up to class drunk and starts drinking at 8am. It was a good day!!!! End of story on this one.

3/18: After we all recooperated from the following nights events. Elyse, Brenda, Geoff, and I headed down to the Museum and the observatory. Well the observatory was closed which sucked because it was a really nice day out to look out over Albany. The Museum was fun. After that we headed for dinner at bombers. Good times there..Came back to the dorm hung out and then got ready to go to a Party.
The party was off the hook.. There was so many people there but it was so much fun because alot of people who where there I knew, and drinking with people you know is always alot more fun than drinking alone. But yeah had alot of fun. Julie I will never look at bathrooms and washclothes in the same way again. Haha but atleast we had fun..After that we were all starving so we went out for pizza, then headed home.

All in all it was an awesome two weeks. I can't believe that March is almost over and in less than a month and a half I'm done with my freshman year at the College of Saint Rose.

    <lj:music>Somebody told me - the killers</lj:music>

Here's a little recap of the past couple of days.

Thursday:
Last official day of classes before spring break. I attended two of my three classes...Was going to attend the third but after much persuasion from Elyse..I opted not too...I'm such a sucker for peer pressure..haha...So anyways we all went out to Pauly's when I mean we (there was like 15 of us), because it was our official last night to go out before we leave. I learned the exact recipe for making a drunk Brendan, and it goes like this...

Mix one 1 1/3 glasses of Coke and Rum...add...2 Sex on the beaches...followed immediately by 1 Cranberry Juice and Vodka...next throw in a couple of Komikozie shots = Brendan being a good dancer and happy about life....haha

Friday:
Woke up without a hangover...went to lunch with geoff, alex, and becky...then came back and packed all of the things I would need for a week and brought them home...Haircut at 6:00 on the dot...(can't have a 6:02 appointment now can I Jen...haha... followed by going to the mall to buy some new headphones for the cd player and a cordless drill...(my dads dream)...Next I headed over to TOYS R' US...ie (heaven for kids under 7..where I had a hardtime picking out a birthday present for a three year old girl...Alas...a tinker bell barbie..and a call to Mike and Kelly and I had the perfect gift...

Saturday:
Woke up around 11:30..thought I should be productive and did laundry and cleaned my room...After than I took a shower and then went to a Birthday Party for Julia...a bunch of three year olds all playing with playdough = a good fun time for Brendan...haha...

Anyways these where the highlights of my day...and I've brought everything up to date on what I've been doing over the past couple of days...I'm home for the week because of Spring Break...but the week will be filled doing homework and going to work...ahh the joys of the real world...Until next time...

This weekend is going pretty good so far. Thursday night was extremely awesome. Can't say a whole lot about what happened but just that Ashley and I had a really good time and then when everyone else came back it was just crazy. Friday was cool too. I slept until 12:45 then hung around the room for a little while. Around 5:00 I went with with Rebekah, Brenda, Alex, Elyse, and their friend to hooters. We had some wings and fries then went to go see Finding Neverland. The movie was awesome, I really liked it. After that we came home watched American Beauty. Geoff, Alex, Ashley, and Christine all went out to Pauley's and got in..haha that was the funny part. They came home all drunk and it was just crazy. We decided to watch saw too because everyone was still awake and did not want to go to sleep. So after we all got the shit scared out of us.. The movie wasn't really scary. I went to bed around 4 am. Now, i'm up getting ready to go to the gym and then come back and do some homework.

Haha I'm such a loser and forgot to talk about last night. Last night was so much fun. I went to Marcie's Vagina Monologues. Sorry for everyone at St. Rose but the show at SUNY was 100 times better. The angry vagina skit was one of the best. The woman who did it was really attractive and she had such a cool accent when she did the monologue. The 2nd to the last one was by far the best one of the night. This really hot girl comes out in nothing but dirty lingerie and a whip..Haha I felt like I was at a strip club. Eventually all these girls come out and start re-inacting all of the different moans that girls have when they have an orgasm. WOW was it intense. The girls really really got into it..after that scene I was like I think I need to leave and go smoke a cigarrette out back..it was that good. Haha..but Props go to Marcie and the 40 other women who did such an awesome job. I didn't really think I would like going to see the play but it actually turned out to be a good experience, and I'm happy I went. I also got to see my friend Rachel who I haven't seen in a while. It was good to see her. And I also got to hang out with Suzette and Sarah and learned what a "wall" was haha. Good Times..Last night was Awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a pretty good day. I got to sleep in for like 12 hours. (I love sleeping)..My parents came up for an emergency food run to my dorm.. and then after they left I took a shower and met Julie and we went to the basketball game, here at school. The game was the best basketball game I have ever seen. The game was close from the beginning and it came down to the last minute. We ended up coming back from a 5 point deficit with only 10 seconds left on the clock. This brought the game into over time and after duking it out for like 5 minutes it again came down to the final 10 seconds of the game. The whole game was a constant nail biter, It was awesome.
After the game Julie and I went to dinner in the cafe and then walked back to the dorm. I was bored when I got back so I decided to make a colege on the wall with the pictures I took from Florida. After that I worked on updating the music in my i-pod folder. Ashley and Shelby came over and wanted to watch a movie. Since Ashley never saw Chicago we decided to watch that one. Now,we are watching some dating show on MTV. haha it's kinda lame..but anyways...

One of the worst things in the world is when your tired than all hell, yet you can't seem to fall alseep. Life's been great these past few weeks. Classes have been going good. Little to no homework, just lots of reading though, and even some of that is optional. Ohh I forgot to mention..you know your life is boring when one of the highlights for the past week was going home so that you could meet with an insurance agency and get life insurance. Haha.. So yup now I'm covered and my life is worth exactly $25,000 dollars if I was to drop dead this minute. It would be double that if I was killed in some kind of bizarre accident. So there for if I died in some freak accident tomorrow my parents would get a hefty lump sum of $50,000. Kinda makes one sad when you think about it. That's all my life is worth right now, just half a hundred grand. Everyone says that I don't need anymore for now anyways. When I get older I can increase it to like $500,000 or even a million.
Two weeks ago I went to go see Soda Shop Angel at school with some of my friends. It was good to be back and see everyone. It's amazing how much some people have changed in just a couple of months. Some have grown taller and some even more mature. Thinking about this makes me feel really old for some reason. But, anyways the cast did a really good job on the play. Props go to Anna, Judie, and Vanessa for doing such an awesome job.
Let's see, this weekend is going to be hectic. We are suppose to get a really big snow storm today. If it ever decides that it wants to start snowing instead of raining. I'm going home tomorrow night because I have to go to High School on Friday, because I'm going to interview Mrs. Prozik for my oral comm class. Then I'm getting my haircut that night. Saturday I'm going to see the Vagina Monologues with Marcie here at school, should be interesting. Then at 11pm on Saturday I'm going to see Jecca in her play the Rocky Horror Picture Show at Russell Sage. That should also be an interesting event. So this is on the agenda for the weekend. I've probably bored everyone to death. So I'm going to go and try to fall back asleep with the dreams of waking up to a snow day.

It's amazing how true this story is.

NICE GUYS FINISH LAST
By: Garrett Hols

It’s amazing that assholes can get girls. Actually, now that I think of it, it’s not that amazing. They are assholes at heart, but to meet girls they lavish their undying love. IT’S A CHARADE. They act nice, friendly, and they listen… until they get into what they’re after. Their prey thinks they are in love with them, however when they realize what assholes their predators really are, they pretend like the asshole is really nice inside. The girl tries to change the asshole into a nice guy, but assholes will always be assholes. She gets upset and goes to the nice guy to complain about the asshole. But she claims to love the asshole… now this is where the theory begins. She doesn’t want to look like she is easy so she wont dump the asshole right away, instead she will stay with the asshole. Girls are idiots. They don’t realize that the nice guy has been there all along. He never had to pretend to be a good guy to get girls because he is naturally like that. However, girls don’t see it for some reason or another. They look at the nice guy as a friend, a trusted companion to whom they can tell their sad story to about their asshole boyfriend. But the nice guy isn’t THAT naïve. He was trying to score with the girl he listens to all along. The problem is that since he is a nice guy he keeps listening. Since girls get attached to things that pay attention to them, they think of the nice guy as a friend. A FRIEND. They don’t say, “Oh he’s hot” or “I want to have his children” about the nice guy, they just want the emotional support. When they get the emotional support from the nice guy, they don’t need it from the asshole. The nice guy gets the shit end of the stick while the asshole gets all the action. I am starting to wonder if being a nice guy is really the route to take to get action… I have been down this path for all of my post-pubescent life and it has gotten me NOWHERE… at least not in the women department. Perhaps another reason why girls fall for the asshole is because assholes ignore the girl they are with. The women wonder, “Why isn’t he paying attention to me?” so they explore why. They poke and prod and get closer to the asshole. They start to get easier with each attempt to get closer. The asshole finally says, “I’ve let this beauty dangle long enough, time to boat this bass”. It is then he puts on his charade and the girl feels like she has won him… even thought all she has won is an asshole. Once you have gone down the path as a nice guy or a “listener” you can’t turn back. The girl will always go after the assholes because there are always nice guys there to listen. Once you realize that you are a “listener” you cant do anything about it… just pack up and close shop. There is no way you will get into her pants… ever. There is and never will be a situation where the nice guy will get the girl he has a crush on. It just doesn’t work like that. The girl wont “come to her senses” and realize what an asshole her boyfriend is like in the movies… instead she will just go after another asshole, and unless you stop being a nice guy, she will never go after you. Women complain that there are no nice guys in the world. Right. They are obviously not looking hard enough because there are nice guys EVERYWHERE!!!! Girls aren’t looking for nice guys… they say they are but they’re not. They are looking for the perfect asshole, but there is NO SUCH THING as the perfect asshole. All in all, the nice guy gets the shaft. To all the girls out there with boyfriends that don’t treat you with respect, that don’t listen to you, and that don’t care about you I say this; look next to you. The guy that has been standing next to you the whole time is the guy you have been looking for. He is what you want your asshole to be like. He knows more about you than you know about yourself… because he has listened to it all.
Sorry, I haven't really written in a while, been busy with school. Speaking of school classes are going good. I like the fact that I can get up later than I could last semester and the classes don't seem as challenging too. Both are a huge plus. I went and saw the play at school this weekend. It was called Soda Shop Angel and it was really good. In fact Susan and I went on both Friday and Saturday night to go and see it. I also got to hang out with a lot of old friends who are still in high school. On Friday some of us went out to Applebee's afterwards for some dessert and some updating on the gossip. Then on Saturday I had dinner with Anna and everyone else in the cast and had a lot of fun with that at Friday's. All in all things are going great up here at school. Its been extremely busy but its been a lot of fun too.

I had some time to sit down and so here is part 2 of my adventure to Florida.

Wednesday January 12th 2005

Today we got up early and headed over to Universal Studies to ride the movies. It was just Julie, Jen and I. As Will and Ginger decided to hang around by the pool to catch some rays. So we went into the park and the first ride we went on was Shrek4D. It ties the first Shrek movie with the second one. During the ride the ghost of Lord Farkod stole the princess and Shrek and Donkey have to go rescue her along with the help of the audience. It was a fun ride as all of the characters from the first movie where there and the ride was just fun.
After that we headed over to the Twister Aftermath ride where you are taken into a house that has mud, broken windows, and a car hanging from the ceiling. All of a sudden there is lightning outside and the wind starts to blow. The Tornado siren starts going off and everyone had to evacuate the house. We are moved out onto the porch and there is a gas station and movie screen. You see a tornado form and it takes out the movie screen, it starts pouring rain, a cow goes flying by, and the tornado runs into the gas tank and it explodes in a huge fireball. Next thing you know the whole house is starting to move up and it falls back down and it was awesome.
After we walked through parts of NYC and got a starbucks coffee we headed over to San Francisco to go ride Earthquake. During the ride you are put in a subway car and taken to a subway station. The ground starts to rumble like thunder and then there is a massive jolt and the whole station and car starts to move. Signs fall down and break the ceiling cracks, and a huge 18 wheeler comes through the ceiling and explodes. Next water from the ocean comes rushing into the station and another subway train comes and runs into your car. The ride simulated an 8.3 earthquake in California and it was freakin awesome.
Next we went on Jaws the ride and went through the lovely town of Glouster Massachusetts before the boat is attacked by Jaws. The ride was kinda lame but was still fun. After that was MIB the ride. Jen didn’t want to go on it so Julie and I became agents and shot aliens up throughout NYC. It was also an ok ride, nothing to really write home about. The same goes for the Back to the Future ride. I never saw the movies so I really didn’t have a clue as to what was going on. It was an ok ride though.
By this time it was time for lunch and we decided to meet Will and Ginger over at the Hard Rock Café for lunch. We met them over there and sat down in the coolest restaurant I have ever eaten in. There was so much memorabilia from famous musicians on the walls, it was amazing. The food was awesome and Ginger and Will decided to have a couple of cocktails and got us each a souvenir glass. While waiting for our food Jen, Julie and I, decided to hang out in the gift shop and see what cool things they had for sale. After browsing we headed back for lunch and after eating we decided to go take a tour of the restaurant. We went into the Elvis room and saw some of his gold records, outfits that he wore during his concerts, and some other awesome Elvis things. We also went into the Beatles room and saw the original doors from Abby Road Studios, hand written lyrics from John Lennon, and records, and other letters from the group. The whole restaurant was absolutely amazing. After we looked around we headed back to the gift shop and I bought a shot glass and a denim jacket.
So after lunch we went back to Universal Studios and went on the E.T. ride. Haha the ride was cool because we are riding in a bicycle and we go to E.T.’s planet. The ride in the beginning was cool but then out of nowhere we are in some hippy looking acid dream planet. It was freakin weird.
After our hippy acid trip we headed over to the Revenge of the Mummy ride. Since it was fairly new Julie and I had no clue what to expect on the ride. So we get in and its all dark and we think its just a ride through a pyramid. Haha nope. Next thing we knew we are thrown into complete darkness and the ride turns into a roller coaster in the dark. It was so freakin awesome that Julie and I did it again.
Next, we headed over to the Jimmy Neutron ride and went to save the Nicktoon characters from some evil guy. It was ok. After that we went to see the front of Nickelodeon studios. I got to see the slim machine and I also got to see the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour Bus.
After that we went into some stores, bought some more shot glasses and headed back to the hotel. That night Jen and I decided to go swimming in the pool and then we headed over to City Walk, while Julie stayed back at the hotel because she was tired. Jen and I were going to go to a night club and once we got there we found out that it was only open to kids who were 21 or over. So we caught up with Jen’s parents and headed over to Margaretville. There was a cool band there and we decided to hang out and watch them play. After staying for a little while Jen and I headed back to the hotel and watched some tv before we decided to go to bed.

Thursday January 13th 2005
We got up early again today and had breakfast. Today was going to be our day of just hanging out around the pool and catching some rays but during breakfast Ginger and Will asked us if we wanted to go Epcot today. Since I haven’t been there in 10 years I wanted to go back. So we all agreed on going and 45 minutes later we found ourselves at the gate to Epcot. After paying and taking some pictures we headed into the park and went on a technology ride in the giant golf ball.
After the ride we headed over to go to Mission to Mars but everyone was afraid to go on it except me, because it had warnings about lots of people getting motion sickness. So we opted to try it before we left just incase we got sick.
Julie, Will, and I decided to go on Fast Track instead of Mission to Mars and we waited inline for half an hour to go on the ride. The ride consisted of riding a new car through different tests run by the GM motor company. So after we tried the break tests and traction along with extreme temperature differences we went out for a test drive and got up to 68 miles an hour. It was a really cool ride.
Next, we headed over to see the world and went through the different countries. We went to Mexico first and went on a ride through Mexico. Next, came Norway and we went through a ride of Norway, and saw a movie. Really cool since we know people who live there. After that was Italy. After Ginger was harassed and almost had her purse stolen by a lady who was acting like a statue we decided to eat lunch in a really nice Italian restaurant. The food was amazing, it tasted like real Italian food.
After lunch came France, where we saw a guy do this really cool chair stunt right in the middle of the street. After that came Canada, and the UK. We just basically got shot glasses and in Canada we heard a really cool band called off Kilter. The band had guys in kilts and one of them was playing the bagpipes. It was awesome I have never heard music like that in my life. Next we headed over to the living seas to go hang out with Nemo and his friends. We got to see some sharks, dolphins, manatees, and some cool fish. After that we were all tired and bidded Epcot goodbye and headed back to the hotel.
After getting stuck in traffic for about 45 minutes to an hour we made it to the hotel. After we got into the elevator we went up to our floor. As we were getting off of the elevator, I noticed a large group of people standing in the middle of the floor. One looked really familiar and as we were walking to the room it dawned on me that it was Paulie Jr. from Orange County Choppers. I told everyone and they didn’t believe me until we dropped off our stuff in the room and headed over to see what kind of food they had for dinner. We got to see them all. Paul Sr., Paul Jr., Mikey, and Vinny. Julie even got a picture and autograph from Paul Sr.
So after that excitement we ate some dinner and headed back to the pool for one last night of swimming. We swam for a while and then came back to the room to over and have dessert at the Hard Rock Café. We took some pictures around the hotel before we went over at the telephone booths. This is where every famous person to go to the hotel has their pictures taken. So after that we headed over to the café. Julie and I had the biggest piece of Cheesecake I have ever seen in my life. It was huge. So after that we went and walked around City Walk for the last time. Took some pictures, and then left for the night.

Friday January 14th 2005
We got up around 8am and quickly packed our stuff up. It was pouring rain outside. The first rainy day since I got there and there was a thunderstorm. So we packed our things, had a somber breakfast, and headed over to the airport. We got there and it was still pouring rain. So we took back the rental car and went to go get our boarding passes and check our luggage. After that we made our way through security and then boarded the tram to the gates. We got to our gate and saw that our flight was going to be delayed. When we asked for how long the guy said that it would be for about 1 ½ -2 hours. So we hung around, had lunch, and went to get some reading material for the plane. Once we finally boarded and were up in the air, we went through the bumpiest and scariest plane ride of my life. For a good hour we were hitting turbulence because we were flying over thunderstorms and the air was unstable. We actually made it back to Albany in what must have been a record 2 hours. It was crazy. So once we were back in Albany we went to get our baggage and then headed out of the airport. We were picked up by Jen and Julie’s uncle and then made our to their grandmothers house to pick up their car. We got there and had dinner and then headed back to Jen and Julies house. My parents then came and picked me up and I headed home, told my parents my tail, and then headed back to Julie’s house. Matt picked us up we headed over to Tim’s house and watched Napoleon Dynamite. After all was said and done it was an awesome trip.
Sorry I haven't written in a while I've been busy with a lot of things, all of which I will write down when I find the time. Here is part 1 of my trip to Florida. Part 2 and possibly part 3 will follow as soon as I find the time to write them all down.

.
Monday January 10th 2005

My Trip to Orlando began on Monday January 10th 2005 at 4:45 in the morning. The alarm had gone off and after I turned it off and got ready, my parents and I headed to the airport. We got there around 6:00am and I had to wait to get my boarding pass. After about 20 minutes of waiting I finally checked my luggage, got my pass and headed up stairs to go through security. After saying goodbye to my parent’s I patiently waited in line for another 15 minutes. After the proper authorities deemed me safe and not a terrorist I proceeded to my gate where I sat all by myself and waited. I decided to call Jen because I was confused as what I had to do next and since she had been through this all before I called her. After that I got in line with all of the other friendly southwest people patiently waiting to board the plane and get the hell out of this frozen tundra. Once I got on the plane I was relieved to find out that there would be only 97 people on the flight, far from full capacity. This meant that I was able to have my own seat all two my self and I had no one around to bother me. Once we taxied and were in the air ( I love taking off there is such a rush about the whole thing), I decided that I needed to take pictures because the view was too good to pass up with my camera. My flight lasted about 2 ½ hours in which the majority of the time I spent reading magazines and listening to my headphones. I landed in Orlando around 9:45am and after I stumbled around the airport and was able to find my luggage I went to wait for the Masa’s to come pick me up. Eventually we found each other and all was well, we were finally all together.
After picking me up we headed over to check into our room at the Hardrock Hotel in Orlando. Once we got there we were greeted with valet parking and open doors. Once inside I needed to use the rest room because I hadn’t gone since the previous night because I was too excited. That last one probably makes no sense to anyone, but who cares. I always think you can tell a lot about a hotel from the bathroom. Haha this one was freakin awesome. I walk inside and there is marble everywhere flowers everywhere and hand towels that are warmed. I knew right away this place was gonna be awesome. After checking in and gawking at the awesome lobby filled with music memorabilia, we headed over to the elevators, where we learned that we would be staying on a club level and that the only way to get to it was with our room keys. Haha way totally cool. So we get up to our floor and meet our private concierge. We are told that there is a free unlimited soda bar, free cd’s and dvd’s for us to borrow while we were staying at the hotel and that there was a continental breakfast, cocktail hour, and desserts every night. So we made it too our rooms and unpacked, admired the view from our hotel room, and decided to take advantage of the weather ( It was 80 degrees every day) by going swimming in the pool. We spent the rest of the day lounging around the pool, soaking up the sun, going into the hot tub, listened to music underwater ( Yes the pool has music you can hear underwater) and went down this awesome water slide.
That night we went over to City Walk which is part of Universal Studies. We took a shuttle boat because most of the hotel was surrounded by a moat. Now, City Walk is this kind of little place that is filled with different shops, restaurants, and night clubs for people to go too. We picked Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville for dinner and ate our dinner on a sailboat inside of the restaurant. After dinner we checked out the rest of city walk. Some of the highlights that are there beside Margaritaville are; Emeril’ Lagisse’s restaurant, The Nascar Café, Bob Marley’s restaurant, an Irish pub called Pat O’Briens, the NBA restaurant, and the Hard Rock Theater and Café. This café is three floors of restaurant and memorabilia and is the largest of the Hard Rock café’s in the world. After we walked around and got some souvenirs we decided that it was a long day and headed back to the hotel for some much needed R & R.

Tuesday January 15, 2005
Today we got up around 8:30, ate breakfast, and after everyone was finished getting ready for the day, we went over to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The park is divided into 5 different islands; Seuss Landing, The Lost Continent, Jurassic Park, Toon Lagoon, and Marvel Superhero Island. After we got there we decided to go on the Spiderman ride first. The ride took us through an interactive ride as we helped save the city from bad guys and helped Spiderman along the way. The ride was really cool and we decided to go on it twice, because it was so good. After that Julie and I gathered our courage and went on the Hulk rollercoaster. You sit in the ride and you go up a somewhat steep incline out of no where’s the car shoots you out of a tube going about 60 miles an hour before you even see the light of day your hanging upside down. After going through about 3 loops and hanging upside something like 6 times the ride is over. It was one of the most exhilarating rides I’ve ever gone on it was awesome.
Next, we decided to head over to Seuss Landing to play in the magical world of Dr. Seuss. We went on the Cat in the hat ride, which takes the rider through an interactive tour of the cat and the hat book. Thing 1 and 2 where really creepy looking and had hair like Don King’s.. it was messed up. Next we went on a suessicarel which is a carousel that has Dr. Seuss animals you ride on. I think I was riding on a chicken.. but the jury is still out on that one haha.
After that we headed over to the Lost Continent. We went on an interactive tour show that used water and pyro techniques for the battle between some evil hell thing and the God Poseidon. It was cool but kinda lame at the same time. Next, Julie and I wanted to go on the dueling dragons, which is 2 roller coasters made into one. 2 roller coasters go at the same time and go through the same loops and everything. The riders come within 12 inches of the other people on the other roller coaster. It’s insane how crazy this ride was. Next, Ginger thought it would be cool if we had lunch in a giant tree. So we ate a medieval style lunch in a giant tree.
Finally it was time for Jurassic Park. We went through the museum part and took pictures of some dinosaurs and so baby dinosaur eggs. After that we went over to experience the park by going on a water ride. We all packed ourselves into a car and were taken into the world of Jurassic Park. The ride starts out calm and you see nice plant eating dinosaurs and all is peaceful. Next thing you know raptors have escaped, and are running a muck in the park. After eating a worker named Julie ( no lie they name tag on the shirt said Julie, coincidence… I think not), we head into a building where we think we are safe. Haha what a bunch of bullshit that was. We head up this really steep incline and are almost eaten by raptors once at the top of this very big steep hill. We are attacked by some kind of hissing spitting dinosaur. After that we just float along and then you see it.. A giant t-rex right in front of you who is about to eat you. He lurches at you and it looks like your going to get hit and next thing you know your plummeting down this steep hill into all this water and your get soaked at the bottom. The ride was so incredibly awesome that Julie, Will, and I did it again because it was so much fun.
Ok, after braving dinosaurs we headed over to toon lagoon and got to see where most of the comic strip characters live. That was pretty cool, we took a lot of pictures in here because of all the cool colors, statues and other things. After this we headed back to Superhero island, where Julie and I went on another crazy ride that takes your straight up about 60 mph about 500 feet in the air. After losing my breath and almost shitting my pants, we decided that we wanted to go do the Hulk again. Since there was no line at all we went on it twice in a row. Haha We are so freakin crazy sometimes. So after that we decided to head out and went and looked at some cool things in the shops, made some cool pennies, and bought some awesome shot glasses.
Next we decided to head back to the hotel, to hang by the pool and take advantage of the last couple hours of sunshine. We couldn’t agree on what we wanted to do that night so we just hung out in the hotel room.
Ok so I really couldn't sleep last night because I've been too excited... I finally fell asleep around quarter to 4 and woke up around 8:30 with a wiked stomach ache...Ahh well everything can't be perfect can it? So yeah I only got like 4 1/2 hours of sleep..which is good because I'm really tired now and will have more of a chance to pass out around 9. That way I can get up at 4 am to go to the airport.
I went to the mall today and got a phone cover for my phone, because it was really scratched up. Then went and bought a cd at Best Buy, and had dinner at Bugaboo Creek.. (They have the best chicken tenders..YUM!!!.) Then I headed over to Frank Adams jewelers and got my necklace fixed and a bracelet engraved. After that it was Walmart.. I bought some stuff for the plane and Florida..and am waiting for my clothes to come out of the dryer before I finish packing.. I can't wait for tomorrow..I'm kinda nervous and will be a lot happier when I see Jen and Julie down in Orlando and I'm off the plane and out of the airport. Here's to a good safe flight...

    <lj:music>Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day</lj:music>

Yeah so today was my 19th Birthday. I don't feel any older...But it's weird to think about it that this is my last year being a teenager. Exactly one year from today I will officially be 20.. I feel really old just thinking about it. So I took today off from work because I have been working every day this week and wanted to take today off to relax and just have fun. I got up early because I was reading last night and feel asleep around 8:45pm. A far cry from when I usually doze off. So I woke up around 9:00am and didn't really complain because very rarely do I ever get 12 hours of sleep. So I just hung out and read and worked on a puzzle..These are my ideas of fun. Susan called and wanted me to come over to hang out and talk about the party Marcie, Susan, and Me are all throwing, because our birthday's are all in January. So instead of having 3 different parties we are having one big one on the 15th. We have like 30 people invited so far. It should be fun I can't wait. So I hung out over at Susan's place. We played some video games and watched Napoleon Dynamite. Then I came home and had pizza and just hung out. I didn't really feel like going out. So tomorrow night we are going to go out to dinner and then pick up some things at the mall, and have a cake.
Julie called me today and told me that it was 85 today in Florida. Meanwhile it is 30 degrees outside with about 6 inches of snow and we are under a winter weather advisary for tomorrow...My idea of fun. I can't wait to get down to florida and bask in the 80 degree weather... Only 2 more days to go...

It's amazing how much someone's life can change in the matter of a couple of minutes. For example, yesterday, Julie and Jen wanted me to come over to their house to hang out with them before they were going to Florida for two weeks. So, I went over and when I got there, we decided to go to Walmart to get some things and then we headed over to Price Chopper to see Matt, because he had to work and wouldn't be able to come over and see them. So we did all of this and then head back to their house to watch a movie and eat dinner. We watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, good movie but I'm not here to do a movie review, thats for later. Anyways, Jen was complaining how she didn't want to go, because she didn't want to be away from her friends for two weeks and stuck with her parents. So jokingly I say "Jen you can stay with my parents and I'll take your place." Julie's mom then asks what I'm doing and if I could go down and hang out with them in Florida. I knew right away that it wasn't gonna happen. I don't have $1,500 for airfare, hotel accomodation and food and entertainment stuff, to blow. But, Julie's mom went online and found that there was a flight down to Orlando on January 10th at 7am for $49, which is extremely cheap for airfare. Then there was a spot left on the 12:05 flight on January 14th for $49. So airfare round trip would cost $115.00 after taxes. That is dirt cheap for airfare. So then I was like yeah sounds tempting but then we would have to get a hotel room and that isn't cheap. Ginger decided that I could stay in their sweet for 4 nights for $300. Hmm...kinda expensive, but for a sweet.. So hotel and airfare would come to like $415. Which is really cheap. So I got thinking I definitely could do this for under $750. Which is like how much I got for Christmas with gift money and what not. So one more hurdle to cross... My parents. So I ask them and I was like there not gonna let me go at all. Low and Behold my parent's were like your 18, if you have the money go and have fun. So speechless as I was, I booked my flight and am flying out of Albany on Monday the 10th at 7 am, and the Masa's are going to pick me up in Orlando at 10:15 when my flight lands. The only downside, I have to fly on an airplane by myself for three hours. That shouldn't be too bad, I can always sit next to a window, put my headphones on and hope I don't have someone smelly sit next to me. Or hopefully I will have someone friendly to talk to. You never know. Then we are going to go to the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando and Universal Studios. I'm so excited.. because everyone was going away on trips and I haven't gone anywhere's in a while. So in the span of half an hour I went from not going anywhere's and having a somewhat uneventful trip, to booking a flight to Orlando and having the time of my life without my parents in Florida for 5 days.

<lj:music>New York, New York -Frank Sinatra</lj:music>

Yesterday, I went with everyone down to NYC to go sightseeing and to see the Radio City Rocketts perform. We left school around 8:00 in the morning and we got to the city around 11:30. The bus dropped us off at a small park on the Ave of the Americas, and after waiting in line for a few minutes we were able to get our tickets for the show. We then walked a couple of blocks down to Times Square. We decided to go into the somewhat new Toys R Us, store. The place was huge, they had a farris wheel right in the middle of the store, and all of the cars on it, signified a different toy. They had cars like, my little pony, Mr. Potato Head, Toy Story, Barbie, Monopoly, and a little Tykes car. It was really cool to see. Kelly really wanted to go on the ride, but there where to many people waiting in line. The store was packed with people too. You could barely move, it was crazy. We then went to the Barbie section where they have a huge doll house you can walk in, with just about every Barbie ever made. Afterwards we walked down to the Lego section, where they had the Statue of Liberty, a NY Yankee's hat, the Empire State building with King Kong on it, and a Ninja Turtle, all made out of legos. It was crazy because they all looked so real. They also had a huge dinosaur that looked like it came out of Jurassic Park, which was cool. Next, we went down to the Candy Land section, where we saw all of the characters from the game but they were lifesize. It was really cool to see. After that we left the store and after Jen and I took lots of pictures we decided to go the Virgin Mega Store. They had probably just about every cd and movie ever made on three floors of the store. It was nuts. We walked down to the movie section where they already had Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on DVD, although it doesn't come out until Tuesday. I would have bought it except I didn't want to pay $25.00 when I could wait 2 days to get it for cheaper. After that we went down to get lunch at Sabarro's pizza place, that was fun. Next we went to the Hershey Chocolate Store. They place was jammed packed with people, you couldn't move. Everyone else stayed outside while Jackie and I went in to look around. We found a giant 5lb chocolate bar that was $40 dollars. Jackie took a picture of me taking a bite out of it. Wonder how it came out? Then they had Hershey kisses that would come out of a hole in the wall, down a shoot, and into a bucket where people could sample them.
Next, we went down to Rockefeller Center, where we saw the Christmas tree. It was still being decorated with lights and had scaffolding all over it still. We saw the people ice skating on the rink and we saw where they tape the Today Show every morning. Next, we went to St. Patricks Cathedral. First off the place was huge. I think I found the church I want to get married in. I mean you could fit thousands of people into this church. I would love to go for a Christmas Eve service. Secondly they had statues and carvings on the wall that had just about every saint and event of biblical importance. Thirdly, they had the biggest and most beautul stain glass windows I have ever seen. I was in awe at the whole thing and left speechless. When we went, someone was getting married
and we were able to see the bride and the whole wedding party. Next, we walked down 5th avenue and went to the Disney Store. Just about every Disney merchandise ever made, confind within three floors. It was nuts, because there were people everywhere. They had window scenes that told the Disney story of a Christmas Carol. That was really neat to see. Next, we decided to go down to Central Park. We walked around for a bit, and we saw statues of famous poets, and writers in American society. We also saw statues of Columbus, Shakespear, and Balto, and the famous horses that take people for rides around the park.
After that we went down to Trump Tower and waited in line at Starbucks to get some coffee and warm up, because it was cold and rainy out. After we got our drinks, we went down to sit down by the seating area. While we were down there. Julie and Kelly said that they had just seen Donald Trump go up the escalotor. No one believed them at first because no one else saw him. Kijo, one of Krista's friends called her and told her that she was within 5ft of him and had gotten a picture. So, then we knew he was there for real. After that we walked back to Times Square for some night pictures. We went into a small souvenir shop where we got t-shits that say I love NY that we are all going to where on Monday.
Then it was about 6:30 so we decided to walk back to Radio City to see the show. The theater was massive. It looked like a giant opera house that you only hear about, but never see. It was really nice. We walked up the grand stair case and they had a huge Christmas tree already decorated. There were people everywhere. We got to our seats and waited for a little while before the show started. It was nice to watch, because instead of watching the Rocketts on tv for the parade every year, I was actually seeing them in person. The show was cool they had a lot of different scenes and even had a live nativity. After the show we walked back to the bus in the rain, and after three hours we got home. It was a very long, but very fun day. I have so many really nice pictures of the city. I can't wait to go back when everything is really decorated for Christmas.

Columbus Day Weekend

This weekend was awesome. On Friday, Julie, Jen, and I went down the Hudson and we met up with Kelly and her friends. It was Hudson's homecoming and they just happened to be playing Ravena. So we went down to the game and hung out with Kelly and her friends. We met this guy Chris who she really has a crush on and we met Craig. I love Craigs car. He has a Camero and he gave us a quick ride in it. It was awesome I was really jealous that some 17 year old kid was driving around in a car that most adults can't afford. After the game, Julie, Jen, Kelly, Craig, & Me went to Kelly's house. Her parents were really nice and welcomed us with open arms. We spent the night there and then we came home on Saturday.

Saturday night Tricia and Rebecca picked me up and we came to St. Rose to hang out. Tricia and Becca wanted to go out clubbing at the Post. But since no one was around ( It was parent's weekend at SUNY ALBANY and no one was on campus) so they decided to go down to Mardi Gras. Julie and I really weren't in a clubbin mood and Julie didn't want to try to sneak into another club. So Rebecca and Tricia went to the club and Julie came over and we watched the Sandlot.

Sunday, Julie's parents came and picked up Ashley and Me. We went down to Julie's house and hung out there. We showed Ashley some awesome pictures of us as well as a lot of scarey pictures. (mainly of Julie). After that we went to Walmart and saw Vanessa. We said hi and talked to her for a few minutes. After that we went back to Julie's, ate Ravelios and made Caramel Apples. After dinner we watched homemade movies and just had fun hanging out. Around 10:15 we went and picked up Sarah and went down to Jecca's house for her party. It was nice to get to see Laura and everyone else who I haven't seen in a while. It reminded me of Summer and we had fun just hangin out, swapping stories, and watching movies.

Today I really did nothing except homework and I watched a couple episodes of Smallville at home. Julie is sick and is staying at home for the night. Tomorrow Jen, Kelly & I are going to take the bus to Crossgates. I want to get a necklace and Jen and I want to get the DAY AFTER TOMORROW. Also Kelly needs to get some socks because she left all of her's at home. So it should be quit interesting to take the bus for the first time in my life.

Sorry I haven't written in a long time. Life has been very busy. This weekend Rebecca came home and since I had to get my haircut on Friday night, I decided to go home for the weekend. Rebecca picked me up and we drove to St.Rose to pick up Marcie & Jen. We dropped Marcie off at Suny Albany because she wasn't feelin to hot. (Poor Marcie). So the three of us drove to Crossgates and bought stuff and hung out. Then we came back to St. Rose where we chilled with everyone in Julie's room. (Jen, Matt, Julie, Rebecca, & Me). Julie was hungry so she ordered some Chinese food. Then Becca and I came back to my room to put up some of my new posters and just to get ready for bed. Today Rebecca left and I basically did homework because Julie, Jen & Matt, went to a concert at Saratoga Winners and everyone went home for the weekend. Now Ashley & I are watching Jack & Bobby on Tv and waiting for everyone to get back from the concert. So this was my weekend. Ain't it depressing.
